COVID-19 is the current pandemic affecting populations across the globe. The Coronavirus has had a major impact on the way we live our day to day lives. One of the biggest changes has been in the medical industry worldwide.
Our team's main focus was in the realm of protective equipment. After looking into many different ideas, we decided on the idea of creating a protective barrier that would allow health care providers and patients to interact. This would be by minimizing the risk of exposure. This design is a combination of two devices that are similar to those already used in the medical field. These are: an X-Ray Model Shield and Incubation Box.

With the combined efforts of our team, we hope to help improve the lives of those working face-to-face with COVID-19.
The first cases of the novel virus were first identified in Wuhan, China, and were reported to the WHO on December 19, 2019. The first case of the virus in the United States was diagnosed on January 21, 2020. Almost immediately, on January 30, 2020, the WHO declared COVID-19 an international public health emergency. The virus continued to spread quickly and by February 29, 2020, the United States had its first patient succumb to the virus.
On March 13, 2020, President Trump declared a national emergency for the United States. With the disease quickly spreading, and the lack of knowledge about it, people quickly began to exhaust medical supplies that are necessary for the prevention of contact with the virus. The current number of total cases globally is above 1.8 million, with 100, 000 + confirmed deaths, and 460,000 + recovered patients. These numbers have since increased.
